Congratulations to Globe Institute of Technology Head Baseball Coach Danny Rameriz on Being named the 2006 Diamond Sports American Baseball Coaches Association Regional Coach of the Year for NJCAA Division 1. Coach Rameriz will be recognized at the American Baseball Coaches Association's Hall of Fame/ Coach of the Year Banquet on January 5, 2007 in Orlando.

GLOBE BATMEN SPLIT HOME OPENER VS NASSAU CC

 3/11/05 Game one – Globe vs. Nassau CC

The Globe baseball team won the first game of a doubleheader in their home opener at Richmond County Bank Ballpark on Saturday March 11 th vs Nassau CC by a score of 11-1. Led by returning players Yalxon Antonio and David Genao the Knights played flawless baseball in the winning effort. Starting pitcher Yalxon Antonio got the win, throwing 5 complete innings while giving up only 1 run on 2 hits while striking out 5. Starting catcher David Genao led the offensive attack going 2 for 2 with a walk, a 3 run homerun, 2 runs scored and 5 RBI.

3/11/05 Game two – Globe vs. Nassau CC

The knights dropped the 2 nd game of the doubleheader 4-3. Vinny Monti got the start in game 2 and pitched well in his home college debut. Mr. Monti went 4 1/3 innings, giving up 5 hits and 1 walk in the losing effort. Gabe Donaldson took over for Monti in the 5 th, and promptly proceeded to work out of trouble. Donaldson held Nassau scoreless for the rest of the game, but key baserunning mistakes by the Knights late in the game prevented them from coming back to take game two from a very well prepared Nassau team.

GLOBE CRUISES TO 13-3 VICTORY OVER SULLIVAN

 3/14/05 Globe vs. Sullivan CC

Francisco Dominguez pitched very well for the win, going 5 innings and allowing 2 runs on 3 hits while striking out 5. The offense was led by Aldo Perez who went 4 for 4 with 3 doubles and a triple. Mr. Perez finished the day 6 RBI. David Genao was impressive at the plate once again. He went 3 for 4 with 2 triples, a single, 3runs scored, 3 RBI and 2 stolen bases in the 13-3 victory. The Knights record currently stands at 7-5 as they get ready to travel to Suffolk CC on Friday.
