EBSCO DATABASES

Ebsco Animals

Consists of indexing, abstracts, and full-text records of the nature and habitat of familiar animals.

Funk & Wagnalls New World Encyclopedia

Indexes over 25,000 full text records on numerous subjects. The database holds images, brief biographies, and is updated annually.

General Science Collection

Users can retrieve full-text information on various topics within the science field from over seventy-three popular science publications.

MasterFILE Select

Indexes over 2,000 full-text journal articles on topics in general reference, social sciences, business, health, general science and current events.

Primary Search via Searchasaurus

Reference collection of sixty-four full-text materials geared toward middle school students and above. Access to more than 50 full text student reference books including Funk & Wagnall’s New Encyclopedia and Encyclopedia of Animals, and provides an Image collection of 107,135 photos, maps and flags.

TOPICsearch

Full-text database containing over 78,000 full-text articles from 3,000 diverse sources including international and regional newspapers, book reviews, pamphlets, and government information. Subjects include education, computers, and health, social, political and economic issues. Indexing and abstracts are from more than 1,650 journals.

THOMSON-GALE DATABASES

Business and Company ASAP

Currently indexes 20,460,842 articles on companies, markets and industries, and mergers and acquisitions. Users have access to full text business and trade journals, newspapers and global private and public company directory profiles. Business and Company ASAP also contains images, a title list, and basic to advanced search options.

Reference USA:

Reference USA is an internet-based reference services from the LIbrary Division of info USA. The database contains informations on more than 14 million US business, 210 million US residents, 855,00 US Health care providers, 1.5 million Canadian business and 12 million households

Business & Company Resources Center

Business & Company Resources Center holds entries to 2850 full-text articles. Contains resources to global business information, articles from business magazines and newspapers, and company profiles. Information is also drawn from Thomson Financial Securities Data, and Investext reports.

Gale Virtual Reference Library

Users have access to twelve online reference titles on business, health, and history. Business resources include: Business Plans Handbook, volumes 5-10, Encyclopedia of Small Business, and Gale Encyclopedia of E-Commerce. Health resources include: Gale Encyclopedia of Alternative Medicine, Gale Encyclopedia of Cancer, Gale Encyclopedia of Genetic Disorders, Gale Encyclopedia of Medicine, and Gale Encyclopedia of Nursing and Allied Health. History resources include: American Civil War Reference Library, 4 volumes plus index, American Revolution Reference Library, 4 volumes plus index, History Behind the Headlines, vol. 1-6 set, and Major Acts of Congress, 1 st Ed., 3 volumes.

¡Informe! (Revistas en Español)

Spanish-speaking users have access to ¡Informe!. This database is updated daily and contains 117 full-text Spanish language and bilingual magazine articles, reports, and maps. Over 75,000 articles are available.

Junior Edition (InfoTrac)

News articles from Knight-Ridder/Tribune News Service information are available, in addition to more than 300 full-color Rand McNally maps.

Custom Newspapers (InfoTrac)

Holds 150 full-text newspapers to 7 New York State newspapers and the last year of the New York Times.

National Newspaper Index

Current events and retrospective news stories from five leading newspapers: the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, Christian Science Monitor, the Los Angeles Times, and the Washington Post are indexed from 1977 to the present.

The Twayne Authors Series – Twayne World, English, and US Authors

ERIC – Education Resources Information Center

Bibliographic database on education literature indexed from 1966 to the present. More than 107,000 full-text non-journal documents issued from 1993-2004 are now available.

EDGAR – U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission

Users can search for filings such as statements, quarterly reports, periodic reports, and other documents on foreign and domestic companies registered with the SEC.

PUBMED – National Library of Medicine

Comprehensive database of over 15 million citations on biomedical literature from the 1950’s to the present. Indexed citations are from the MEDLINE database and additional life sciences journals.

HealthFinder- National Health Information Center , US Dept. of Health & Human Services
